Born & raised in a challenging environment, Steve's journey in music began at an early age of 15 when his older brother gave him a guitar. He taught him how to play three chords and left. That was a pivotal moment for Steve which ultimately changed the trajectory of his life— essentially transforming him into one of the most sought out music producers in the industry.

Through sheer grit and an unwavering passion for music, Steve honed his craft and launched his first company, “Straight Up Funky Music, starting off with small gigs and collaborations in local studios. His breakthrough came when he produced the theme song for the hit TV show “Martin” staring comedian Martin Lawrence. This not only opened the doors to new opportunities but also established him as a sought-after music producer, writing and producing music for other major artists like Kid n Play and TLC.

Steve’s profound understanding of both technology and music ultimately led to the creation of “Trakheadz.com”, an innovative approach to utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance the music experience for both the listener and the artist. He later went on to create Record Drop, a online music service that provided recording artists with full control of their music, from distribution along with and feedback from their fanbase. Currently, via his company Steve Keitt Recordings he gives recording artists, YouTubers, film makers, and other content creators the opportunity to utilize his music to enhance their projects.
